A meeting of creative intelligentsia with writers and poets of the Republic of Korea was held in the Writers Union of Uzbekistan.

Korean writers and poets visited the Alley of Writers in Tashkent and laid flowers at the monument to Alisher Navoi.

A book exhibition was organized at the Writers Union, and a photo exhibition of the works of the famous photographer Akhmadjon Ergashev.

During the creative dialogue, the Chairman of the Writers Union of Uzbekistan, People’s Poet Sirojiddin Sayyid, and others emphasized that priority attention is given to the development of literature, science, spirituality, and education in New Uzbekistan. All conditions have been created for the free and effective creative activity of representatives of different nationalities.

“Such creative meetings further strengthen literary ties”, says Sirojiddin Sayyid. “The slogan for our activities today is the words of the President that literature is the heart of the people. There are honorary members of the Union in the countries of Europe, the United States, and Türkiye, among them representatives of various nationalities, including Koreans”.

During the literary dialogue, samples of works by Uzbek and Korean poets in the native languages ​​of the two peoples and national songs were performed.

Also, as part of the event, new prospects for cooperation between writers from Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea were identified.
