According to KOICA, one of the CIAT programs is a scholarship program that allows you to study for a master's degree at a prestigious Korean university. So far, 144 participants from Uzbekistan have participated in the scholarship program and received an education. Now, let's hear from some of them:

“Thanks to this program, I have been able to acquire a Master’s Degree in the field of education from one of the top South Korean educational institutions – Korea National University of Education”, says Maksim Kim, an alumnus of KOICA Scholarship Program. – I have had academic disciplines ranging from school curriculum writing and teacher policy development to educational ICT technologies and international education development which of course has greatly expanded my professional knowledge and skills. Moreover, the program attracts talented specialists from across the world, which deepens your understanding of different cultures and helps you to look at various challenges of your own country from multiple perspectives. Studying in South Korea is difficult, and you will have to get out of your comfort zone, but the ultimate reward is significant. After finishing the program, you will become a much better version of yourself, contributing to the development of your society your newly acquired knowledge and skills. I would like to use this chance to thank the people of the Republic of Korea represented by KOICA for giving me this opportunity once again, and I appreciate KOICA’s efforts towards strengthening the mutual relationships and cooperation between our countries. If you want to become a better specialist grow personally and professionally, I encourage you to apply for the KOICA Scholarship Program 2022. This program will change your life and the lives of people around you for the better.

“I am currently studying for a Master's degree in Health Management at Yonsei University, South Korea, as part of the KOICA Master's Program”, says another participant of the program Kamoliddin Davlatov. – Prior to that, I worked in the central office of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan as a chief specialist and had enough practical knowledge. Yet foreign experience plays a great role in expanding your knowledge and the development of the system. After hearing about the KOICA master's program, I got interested in the health care system of the Republic of Korea. It is no secret that today the Republic of Korea is one of the most developed countries in all fields. With the help of KOICA, I am currently studying at the 87th top university in the world. Although it has been 6 months since I started my studies, I have gained a lot of knowledge in the field of health care, including quality medical services to the population, the system of training qualified personnel, health insurance, the introduction of innovative technologies, quality of primary health care, private sector, disease prevention, health financing, etc. According to statistics, 94% of the population of the Republic of Korea is covered by health insurance, most of the treatment and prevention facilities (on average 87%) are privatized, and a healthy lifestyle of the Korean population results in that average life expectancy is 87 years. I believe that this is, of course, the result of a quality and well-organized health and medical education system. Of course, this kind of information has changed my outlook on health care. When I return home, I hope that with the skills and abilities I have acquired here, I will be able to make my contribution to the medical well-being of our people!

“Acquiring a master's degree in Korea is a good investment in yourself”, says Shakista Abutova. – Korea also has a unique history and rich culture. People here are very friendly: any person you meet in Seoul will always help if you need it. Seoul is a very convenient, interesting and youthful city. Furthermore, I would like to highlight that Korea pays special attention to education, there are a lot of beautiful libraries with a huge number of books and magazines for any kind of reader. The number of study cafes will simply surprise you!

The very friendly atmosphere created by the professors and students makes a significant contribution to the achievement of the full learning outcomes. In addition, during the studies, there is an opportunity to attend many international forums, training courses, seminars and internships.
