Key areas of cooperation between CIS countries discussed in Ashgabat
A meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. The event, attended by prime ministers of the member states of the organization and heads of government delegations, addressed issues of economic partnership, digital transformation, improvement of transport infrastructure, and humanitarian cooperation.
Following the meetings held in contracted and expanded formats, relevant documents were signed in transport, radionavigation, and digital transformation, as well as on the restoration of territories affected by uranium mining. In addition, a decision was approved to designate Minsk as the CIS Youth Capital in 2027 and Karaganda in 2028.
The next meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government will be held in Moscow this December.
