Karkidon Reservoir, located in Kuva district, is one of the most optimal places for organizing summer holidays in picturesque and distinctive Fergana.

Currently, at the initiative of Fergana region’s Hokimiyat, work is underway to build a modern tourist center on the territory of the reservoir. The road transport infrastructure is being upgraded at this stage of the work. Special attention is paid to increasing green areas and caring for seedlings.

According to the general plan of the tourist center, hotels, recreation areas, special parking lots, playgrounds, an amphitheater, shopping malls, as well as 53 cottages and other facilities will be built here.

During a press tour organized by the Office of Emergency Situations of Fergana region, media representatives witnessed this large-scale process.

The participants became familiar with the existing infrastructure and security measures at the reservoir, and received detailed answers to all their questions.
