Just because a project didn't win doesn't mean it's useless.
The second season of the "Initiative Budget" project, which has become widespread in our country, recently concluded, and the winning projects were determined. However, the projects that failed to gather enough votes are not necessarily unimportant or unneeded. Of course, every project submitted for the "Open Budget" is considered very important for its respective area and the local population. In this regard, the initiative by our head of state to grant deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis the opportunity to select from the projects that did not win in their constituencies was a very timely and welcome development.
During their latest review, people's representatives paid special attention to studying projects that were not selected as winners in the "Initiative Budget" and choosing the most essential ones among them.
Specifically, Zuhriddin Mavlonov, a member of the "Adolat" SDP faction, during his visit to the Muzrabot district of the Surxondaryo region, reviewed the projects that did not win in the "Open Budget" one by one, together with the district khokim and prosecutor, deputies of the district Kengash of People's Deputies, and officials from the economic and financial sectors.
In particular, they visited general education schools No. 9 and No. 21, as well as preschool educational institutions, to assess the existing conditions and problems on-site. They spoke with officials and educators to discuss which tasks should be prioritized. During the review, the deputy thoroughly examined the projects, emphasizing that every issue should be considered based on real needs rather than just numbers.
Similarly, Deputy Dildora Kamolova visited secondary school No. 78 in the Uchtepa district, which was not selected as a winner in the second season of the "Initiative Budget" process, to assess its condition.
The deputies thoroughly reviewed the proposals submitted for the school and the institution's existing conditions. The winning projects are then impartially reviewed by the people's representatives and finalized on the "Open Budget" portal.
Such practical work expands the participation of deputies in solving local problems. It also ensures that unsuccessful projects are not overlooked and that the issues citizens have been hopefully waiting for are resolved.
