The Uzbekistan national team members won one gold and one bronze medal on the first day of the Paris Judo Grand Slam 2025.

Shahram Akhadov, who competed in the -73 kg weight category, defeated Akil Gjakova from Kosovo in a decisive match and became a gold medalist. Uzbekistan’s Bahrom Boturov won a bronze medal in the -60 kg weight category.

On February 2, Utkirbek Turaboyev will compete in the judo competitions in the weight category over 100 kg and will face the host country’s representative, Amadou Meite.
