Today, the construction of new power units with a capacity of 1065 MW has started at Talimarjan TPP JSC.

JSC Thermal Power Plants and JSC Talimarjan TPP signed investment agreements with foreign companies – the Spanish Intecsa Ingenieria Industrial S.A. and Japanese Mitsubishi Corporation.

According to the agreements, by the end of 2025, the plant will construct another two combined cycle plants with a total capacity of 1065 MW.

According to the JSC Thermal Power Plants, Intecsa Ingenieria Industrial S.A. is the general contractor for the project and the Japanese consortium Mitsubishi Corporation, with a total cost of $771.8 million.

The new investment project aims to provide electricity to consumers in Samarkand and Bukhara regions, seven pumping stations on the Karshi central canal.

As a result of the project, the company will generate an additional 8.5 billion kWh of electricity per year. Due to highly efficient technologies, 600 million cubic meters of natural gas will be saved.

Another important factor is reducing 1,500 tons of pollutant emissions into the atmosphere and creating 112 new jobs.
