The regional tourism department heads, large travel companies, guides, and Russian tourism industry representatives met in Samarkand.

Prospects for the development of international tourism, strengthening cooperation between Samarkand and Samara, Moscow and Rostov, and joint implementation of tourism projects were discussed at the meeting.

“The main purpose of the meeting is the introduction and development of new tourist routes”, said Dilshod Narzikulov, Deputy Head of Samarkand Regional Tourism Department. “In particular, we have agreed with our Russian partners to develop roadmaps and measures for further development of ecotourism, motorcycle tourism, and medical tourism in our region, as well as the effective use of available opportunities in these areas”.

Samarkand region’s tourism potential was presented at the event.
