“Samarkand has been in the center of attention of the world community since ancient times, and in the future, this ancient and eternally young city will continue to attract foreign tourists”, said Keiichiro Nakazawa. – The construction and landscaping activities carried out at Samarkand International Airport are indeed admirable. Now it is only necessary to use these opportunities wisely on the path to the further development of the country’s economy. Samarkand is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Japan. Many Japanese dream of visiting here. We proposed to the responsible persons of the city to develop our cooperation to increase the flow of Japanese tourists. We are sure that such interaction will bring positive results.
The guests got acquainted with the unique monuments reflecting the rich cultural heritage and history of Uzbekistan – the Afrasiyab Museum, the Mirzo Ulugbek Museum Complex, the Amir Temur Mausoleum, and the Registan Square.
