A public hearing titled “An inclusive environment in the education system: opportunities and existing barriers for persons with disabilities” was held at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations.

The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations Kongratbay Sharipov informed participants about the work carried out this year in higher education and science, as well as the implementation of tasks set by the Head of State. The ministry has completed a significant portion of these tasks, with the remaining functions underway.

During the discussions, representatives of civil society, students, and experts proposed adapting educational institution infrastructure to the requirements of inclusive education, creating comfortable conditions in student dormitories, training qualified personnel, and introducing digital and innovative solutions.

Following the public hearing, a decision was made to forward proposals to create an equal, inclusive, and open educational environment for all within the higher and vocational education system to the relevant authorities for further development of inclusive education.
