On May 20, 2020, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held a videoconference with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America, Daniel Rosenblum, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The sides discussed the state and prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields, exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan.

Priority areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan on joint implementation of various projects, including in energy, transport-communication and other spheres were also discussed at the meeting.
