In the Angren-1 block of the Angren Free Economic Zone, China’s Hua Tao Ceramic Group is building a plant to produce ceramic tiles and raw materials for its production. The project is planned to be implemented in three stages and completed in 2025. China’s Zibo Brosilk New Material Technology Partnership and Chinese investor Zhia Xiaohu are investing $30 million. By the end of this year, the production of 6 million square meters of ceramic tiles per year will be established. In the second and third stages, to completely localize the production of tiles, it is planned to produce frits, glazes, printer inks, and metal molds at the enterprise. Once fully operational, 350 jobs will be created.

By 2026, the company intends to produce products worth 360 billion UZS, of which exports will amount to $11 million. The products will be exported under the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand. The state budget will receive tax revenues for 3 billion UZS.

During the visit to China, the leaders of the district reached essential agreements on further developing friendly relations. As part of trade, economic, and industrial cooperation, 6 memorandums worth $575 million were signed.
