International specialists improve Russian language teachers’ skills

A meeting of representatives of the Institute of Retraining and Advanced Training of Public Education Workers named after A. Avloni and Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia on the project “Improving the quality of teaching Russian language and general subjects in Russian language in Uzbekistan schools” has taken place.
32 Russian specialists from Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia arrived in Uzbekistan on October 6 at the first stage of the project, in accordance with bilateral agreements. Until the end of December, they will work to improve the skills of public education workers in secondary schools in regional centers.
At the same time, in October and November, Russian specialists will conduct a survey of professional needs of 4,000 Russian language teachers in Uzbekistan, which will allow them to improve their knowledge and skills more effectively.
In 2021, it is planned to continue the practice of professional development of Uzbekistan teachers under the supervision of about 400 Russian specialists on the basis of 529 reference schools in 203 districts and cities of the country.
