According to the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the United States, workshops and roundtable discussions will be held with participation of more than 40 theological scholars, experts in the field of law and religion, leaders of denominations and socially active women from the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Cambodia and Iraq.

The main goal of the upcoming events is to strengthen the established bilateral dialogue and bring to the international community the assessments of authoritative representatives of expert and religious circles on the progress of Uzbekistan in protecting freedom of religion.

The workshop on the rule of law and religious freedoms will be held in Tashkent and Samarkand during the week. The workshop program provides an overview of the key issues of correlation of religion, laws, state regulation and security measures, as well as studying the practice of ensuring freedom of religion in countries in various political, social and cultural contexts.
