International cooperation in pharmaceuticals: focus on quality and safety
As part of the USP CAC Regulatory Authorities Meeting in Tashkent, Alisher Temirov, Director of the Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety, held meetings with representatives of international organizations and foreign regulatory authorities.
Representatives of the regulatory authorities of Egypt and Tajikistan, the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Central Asia leadership, Neopharma, and the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates attended the discussions.
The meetings focused on developing international cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector, exchanging specialists, organizing joint training sessions and seminars, and studying best practices. During the talks, the parties also agreed to provide reference medicine samples with support from USP.
An agreement was also reached to hold a separate meeting and negotiations with the leadership of the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) of the United Arab Emirates.
