Oliver Avramoski, Director of the Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and Liubov Timofeeva, Project Manager, visited the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, Oliver Avramoski expressed his interest in establishing an IUCN representative office in Tashkent and enhancing cooperation with the Academy of Sciences. The Academy also confirmed its readiness to implement joint scientific projects. 

Discussions covered various aspects of collaborative efforts, including localizing conservation projects, strengthening national and regional cooperation, conducting scientific research, exchanging expertise, and providing financial and technical assistance.
