International collaboration in digitalization and investment
Tashkent Region Hokim Zoyir Mirzayev met with representatives of major Japanese companies to explore opportunities to expand investment and technological collaboration in the region.
The parties discussed Japanese companies’ advanced experience in digital transformation, green technologies, industrial modernization, and modern management systems, as well as the investment potential and opportunities in Tashkent region.
The sides suggested several proposals, including creating an IT outsourcing hub with Japanese partners, launching a smart city pilot in Nurafshan, and adopting modern digital solutions in public administration, utilities, healthcare, and transportation.

The parties also emphasized the need to increase industrial cooperation. Specifically, the sides talked about creating a Japanese furniture and design cluster in the Saydovul industrial zone of Urta Chirchiq district, localizing Japanese furniture production with advanced technologies, and exporting these products internationally.

It was suggested to set up vocational skills and Japanese language training centers in partnership with Japanese companies. These centers aim to train young people in high-demand sectors like IT, healthcare, and furniture manufacturing, in line with current standards.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working together to implement the proposals, advance promising investment projects, and execute them collaboratively.
