Cultural-enlightenment events were organized in Samarkand in connection with the People’s Friendship Day. The event also included an exhibition and a concert program.

Representatives of more than 100 nationalities live together as one family in Samarkand region. There are 11 national cultural centers. There are all opportunities for the development of national customs, traditions, and the preservation of cultural values. On the initiative of the regional Hokim, a Friendship House was established, which allocated premises and created conditions for the activities of national cultural centers and non-governmental non-profit organizations.

At the exhibition, each national cultural center showcased its national costumes, products, and dishes. The concert program featured melodies and songs in different languages.

At the event, senior officials of the regional Hokimiyat congratulated the participants on the People’s Friendship Day.

The events at the regional Friendship House continued with the gratitude letters and memorable gifts from the regional Hokimiyat to the heads and representatives of national cultural centers for their contribution to strengthening friendship and cohesion among the population.
