At the international festival of foreign languages, organized in one of the central higher education institutions of India – Jamia Millia Islamia University, it was noted that the interest of students in this country in learning the Uzbek language is growing.
Today, Uzbek language courses operate at Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi University, and Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Ambassador of Uzbekistan Sardor Rustambayev spoke about achievements in various aspects of the life of the country over the years of independence, including the conditions created for young people to receive modern education, become advanced and competitive specialists of their time, and the scale of international cooperation in this direction.
The emphasis was placed on fruitful interaction between Uzbekistan and India in higher education. Joint work on teaching Indian youth the Uzbek language occupies a special place in bilateral academic relations.
Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan and Jamia Millia Islamia University discussed issues related to further expanding the capabilities of Uzbek language courses at this higher education institution.
