Delegation of the state of Gujarat of the Republic of India led by the Chief Minister Vijay Rupani visited Uzbekistan on October 19-23. During the visit, delegation representatives also got acquainted with activities of Amity University branch in Tashkent.

In accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this year a branch of this university has been opened in Tashkent. In the new academic year, about 500 students were accepted to the branch in the areas of information technologies, economics, management and tourism.

Representatives of India praised the conditions created in the branch in accordance with international educational standards and wished the young people who are studying modern professions here to become highly qualified specialists who are able to make a worthy contribution to further development of Uzbekistan – India relations.
