Improvement of the state border protection system discussed

The meeting was attended by the heads of the Presidential Administration, office of the Security Council under the President, the State Security Service, as well as the command of the Border Troops of the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Practical results in the activities of the Border Troops were considered, priority tasks were identified for further improving the system of safeguarding and protecting the State Border of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the context of contemporary challenges and threats to international and regional security.
It was emphasized that reliable and assured security and inviolability of our borders is a guarantee of peace and harmony of our people, prosperity of our country.
The progressive dynamics of international cooperation among the border agencies of the countries of the region and the successful implementation of joint activities with various international organizations were noted with satisfaction. The opening of checkpoints, new aviation, rail and road communications with neighboring nations contributes to the growth in mutual trips of citizens.
The need to ensure strict control over the timely and qualitative implementation of the agreements reached with our foreign partners to enhance cross-border cooperation was emphasized.
At the meeting, the efforts undertaken were evaluated from the critical point of view, specific instructions were given to the heads of responsible bodies to uplift the efficiency of the system of safeguarding and protecting the state border.
