Important meetings were held on the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation
In Samarkand, during the XII Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Tanzila Narbayeva, Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, met with Duarte Pacheco, who served as President of the IPU from 2020-2023, and Raghav Chadha, a member of the upper house of the Parliament of the Republic of India.
During the conversation, the parties discussed developing Uzbekistan's cooperation with the IPU, making effective use of parliamentary diplomacy, and strengthening inter-parliamentary relations between Uzbekistan–Portugal and Uzbekistan–India.
D. Pacheco highly praised the consistent development of Uzbekistan's relations with the IPU and the initiatives it has put forward.
R. Chadda stressed the importance of enriching Uzbek–Indian inter-parliamentary relations with new substance, expanding the exchange of parliamentary delegations, fostering dialogue among young parliamentarians, and sharing experience in digital transformation, innovation, education, healthcare, and sustainable development.

Orzigul Kozikhanova, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Youth, Women, Culture, and Sports, met with Aleksandr Lukyanov, a member of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
It was noted that the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians was organized at a high level. The special role of inter-parliamentary cooperation in the effective implementation of key agreements reached during the President of Uzbekistan's visit to Belarus was emphasized.
The meeting also addressed the organization of a meeting in Khiva with the participation of youth parliament representatives in September of this year, as part of the visit to Uzbekistan by a delegation led by Natalya Kochanova, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
