Uzbekistan’s students won five gold, six silver, five bronze medals and two certificates of honor at the International Mathematics Competition.
According to the V. Romanovsky Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 592 students from 55 countries of the world took part in the Olympiad. International Mathematics Competition (IMC) was held on 2-8 August among students.
Students of the National University of the Republic of Uzbekistan named after M. Ulugbek, Abdushukur Akhadov, Jasurbek Imamov, Maftuna Samatbayeva, students of Urgench State University and Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh, Islambek Ismailov and Kamal Sadikov, won gold medals. Silver medals were awarded to students of the National University of the Republic of Uzbekistan named after M. Ulugbek, Shakhzod Kurakbayev, Doniyor Yazdonov, Jakhongir Turayev, Jakhongir Narbayev, Davrbek Oltibayev, and a student of Tashkent State University of Economics Abdumalik Abdukayumov. Bronze medals were awarded to students of the National University of the Republic of Uzbekistan named after M. Ulugbek, Laziz Abdullayev, Nilufar Rajabova, Jakhongir Tursunbayev, student of Gulistan State University Olimjon Jalilov and independent participant of Karshi State University, Asrorbek Jabbarov. Students of the National University of the Republic of Uzbekistan named after M. Ulugbek, Javokhir Iskandarov and Nodirbek Gaffarov were awarded certificates of honor.
