The groundbreaking ceremony of Hyundai – Namangan KD new plant took place in Turakurgan district.

Ceremony of signing an investment agreement on implementation of the project for production of Hyundai commercial vehicles took place in the khokimiyat of Namangan region. 

The groundbreaking ceremony of Hyundai – Namangan KD new plant took place in Turakurgan district.

This plant, which will be built in cooperation with Hyundai Motor, Evergreen Motors Group and Posco-Daewoo Corporation of the Republic of Korea, will begin manufacturing cars in September 2019. First, production of 400 small trucks, minibuses and buses per year will be arranged. Gradually, this figure will reach 3000 units. On the basis of the localization program, 50 percent of spare parts will be produced in Uzbekistan. With commissioning the plant at full capacity, over 1000 jobs will be created.
