In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev humanitarian aid consisting of essential food products, medicines, and medical supplies was sent to Afghanistan via the Ayritom customs checkpoint via the Health train, and a free medical examination of the neighboring country’s population is also planned.
In Hairatan, more than 30 types of essential food products, medicines, and medical supplies delivered to Afghanistan were handed over with the participation of the Hokim of Syrdarya region Ulugbek Qosimov, officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Transport, Deputy Governor of Balkh Province Noorul Hadi Abu Idris and other officials. Uzbekistan doctors who arrived on the same Health train conducted a free medical examination of residents of Balkh Province.
At the event, deep gratitude was expressed to Uzbekistan, which pays special attention to strengthening friendship and close neighborliness between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, for the assistance provided. It was noted that the Termez International Trade Center, which began work this year, contributes to strengthening the friendship between the people of the two countries.
