The international conference “Shared Services & Offshore Outsourcing” took place at the Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan as part of the ICT WEEK UZBEKISTAN 2024.

One of the week’s main events was dedicated to the potential of outsourcing in Uzbekistan.

The Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, noted that in a short historical period, we have achieved large volumes of potential exports of outsourcing services. Some companies have already started exporting from Uzbekistan.

Makhliyo Muksinova, Director of IT Park for the development of service exports, spoke about the possibilities of IT Park.

She said the United States was the leading export destination for high-tech services two years ago. But now, thanks to diversification initiatives, 44 percent of exports are to North America, 22 percent to UK and European markets, and 18 percent to Asian markets. This is the result of all the initiatives implemented by the state in the IT Park. One of the directions of these initiatives was the organization of international and local events. So, IT Park held 20 events this year, attracting more foreign companies to the country.

Other speakers stressed that the number of IT specialists in Uzbekistan increases by more than 25,000 people every year, creating great prospects for outsourcing high-tech services. At the same time, IT Park residents can take advantage of the Zero Risk program, under which IT companies are provided with free office space for up to 12 months and partially reimbursed staff costs.
