People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, theater and film actress Shafoat Rahmatullayeva died at 83, the Press Service of the Ministry of Culture reports.
Shafoat Rahmatullayeva was born on January 4, 1941, in the village of Navbahor, Furkat district, Fergana region. After graduating high school, she entered a pedagogical school and first worked as a teacher for a year, teaching primary grades.
In 1963, she entered the Musical Drama Faculty of the State University of Theater and Art. In different years, along with many performances, she starred in such films as “Maskharaboz”, “Sevginator”, “Sevginator-2”, “Er Bermoq – Jon Bermoq”, “Chashma”, “O'zimdan O'zimgacha”, “Fidoyilar”, “Poyga”, “Sehrli Qalpoqcha”, “Sariq Devni Minib”. She took a deep place in the hearts of the people.
– Shafoat Rahmatullayeva, having selflessly served in the development of theater and cinema, will forever live in our hearts as a passionate and sincere person, – the Ministry writes.
