Today, China will host the grand opening ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games Harbin 2025.

Qualifying events will take place throughout the day in ice hockey, curling, and short-track speed skating. 

Uzbekistan’s Daniil Eibog will compete in today’s short-track speed skating events. In the 1500-meter race, he will be in the same group as athletes from China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, and Hong Kong. 

In the 500-meter race, he will face competitors from Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, and Chinese Taipei. At the same time, in the 1000-meter event, he will compete against representatives from South Korea, Qatar, Chinese Taipei, and Vietnam. 

Uzbekistan’s ski mountaineering team members, Jasur Shamsiddinov and Feruza Bobokulova, will carry the national flag at the opening ceremony of the Asian Winter Games Harbin 2025. 

The Asian Games, running until February 14, will feature 64 medal events across 11 sports. Uzbekistan athletes will compete in six different disciplines. 

The opening ceremony of the Asian Winter Games is scheduled to begin today at 20:00 Tashkent time.

Harbin 2025: Uzbekistan’s athletes ready for competition
