Graduates Receive Diplomas

The Samarkand amphitheater Mujiza has hosted an event “Graduate 2014”.At the occasion that was attended by teachers, graduates of higher education institutions of the region, parents and representatives of wider public, it was noted that the reforms in education being undertaken under the leadership of our country’s President have been yielding their high results. On the basis of the Law on Education and the National Program for Training Specialists, a national system of education has been created that fully meets contemporary requirements. Modern schools, academic lyceums and professional colleges have been erected across cities and villages of the country. Their economic and technical capacities have been improved, while the range of activities of higher education institutions has been expanded. Making an effective use of this, the youth have been making remarkable achievements in science, culture and sports.
33 people have been awarded State Scholarship of the President of the country, and more than 200 students of Samarkand region have earned Navoi, Beruni, Ulugbek and Ibn Sino state scholarships. In the academic year that is coming to its end, State Scholarship of the President of Uzbekistan has been awarded to the graduate of the Alisher Navoi Samarkand State University Umida Juraeva, graduate of the Samarkand Agriculture Institute Anvar Shamsiev, the masters’ student of the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages Aidakhon Bumatova. In excess of a hundred students of higher education institutions of the region have become victors and prize winners of various contests and discipline Olympiads held in Uzbekistan and abroad.
In the current year, 5,778 bachelors’ and masters’ students are graduating from the higher education institutions of the province in more than a hundred majors. The graduates were awarded graduation diplomas at the event.
“I am proud to have graduated from the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages by making use of the opportunities created in our country for youth,” says Aidakhon Bumatova. “During studies, I have learned several foreign languages. I was into research in the field of translation. Thanks to these research works and assistance of mentors, I have been awarded the State Scholarship of the President of the country. I intend to continue with research activities and make a contribution to training specialists in foreign languages.”
Hokim (governor) of Samarkand region Z.Mirzaev addressed the event participants.
