The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the UK, Ravshan Usmanov, held talks with a Member of the UK Parliament, former Minister of State for Science, Technology and Innovation, George Freeman.

The British side was informed about the large-scale reforms being implemented in New Uzbekistan, particularly about achievements in the political, socio-economic, and cultural spheres in recent years.

The MP positively assessed the transformations in Uzbekistan and stressed that official London is interested in expanding cooperation with Tashkent in all areas.

During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on further expanding the scope of cooperation, particularly establishing contacts with new members of Parliament.

George Freeman drew attention to the importance of cooperation in science and innovation. He confirmed his readiness to provide practical assistance in developing and implementing new projects in this area.

The issue of promoting joint scientific and innovative projects in artificial intelligence, the green economy, and smart cities using the experience of the UK was also discussed at the meeting.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached to continue the practical dialogue to realize the potential for further expansion of cooperation between the two countries.
