The first facilities of a new furniture production cluster were launched in Yangiyer city. The total cost of the project is $10 million.

The event was attended by the Hokim of Syrdarya region Akmaljon Makhmudaliyev, partners from China, entrepreneurs, representatives of the older generation, and the general public.

The managers of this enterprise, which was previously engaged only in the production of chipboards and boards, found partners and expanded their activities during a trip to China.

Now, it produces 3 million square meters of import-substituting chipboard and MDF per year and various types of furniture worth 35 billion 465 million UZS. The equipment was brought from China and Türkiye.

– The Chinese company Beijing Goods Jiangsu New Material invested $4 million. 100 new jobs were created. We are planning to increase the volume of exports by $1.5 million, and the number of jobs will increase by 500”, says the Director of the enterprise, Otabek Khaitmetov.
