A meeting took place between the Chairman of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Saeed bin Suroor Al Sharqi and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the UAE Abdulaziz Akkulov.

According to the Emirates News Agency, the parties discussed the issue of developing cooperation by increasing the exchange of investments, holding joint events, and exploring mutual opportunities. The ways of expanding trade turnover and developing a mechanism of interaction were considered.

Sheikh Saeed bin Suroor Al Sharqi highly appreciated the strength of economic relations and the significant growth in the pace of mutual trade in recent years. It was noted that Uzbekistan is an important partner of the UAE in Central Asia, and the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry is interested in strengthening trade and investment relations between the two countries and creating additional opportunities for business circles.

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador stressed that the country is striving to strengthen relations with Fujairah, create promising opportunities in industries using natural resources, and invest in oil storage, logistics services, and tourism.
