
A meeting was held between Elmurod Najimov, First Deputy Chairman of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, and Dr. Farhan Nizami, Director of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, the ACDF Press Service reports.
ACDF representatives spoke about support for national cultural institutions and restoration projects, as well as the steps taken by the Uzbekistan government to develop the creative economy and participate in international cultural exchanges, including successful exhibitions in the Louvre, Berlin, and the British Museum.

The parties also discussed the possibility of holding an exhibition dedicated to Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage at the Oxford Centre, which could strengthen cultural ties and open up new prospects for cooperation.

The parties expressed interest in educational and scientific exchange for Uzbekistan art specialists and agreed to continue the dialogue on joint cultural initiatives.

Dr. Nizami stressed that the country’s rich cultural heritage is part of humanity’s shared cultural heritage.
