A roundtable discussion dedicated to implementing the joint Uzbekistan – Germany educational program “School for Training Management Personnel” was held at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Uzbekistan, Manfred Huterer, the Head of the Hanns Seidel Foundation’s Central Asia Office, Max Georg Meier, the Head of the Foundation’s representative office in Uzbekistan, Javkhar Dustov, the leadership, teachers, researchers of the Academy of Public Administration, heads of ministries and agencies, and media representatives.
The joint educational program is designed for 17 weeks. The students are released from their primary work for six weeks to participate in classes at the Academy, and for eight weeks, they will study independently. Then, there will be two-week internships in ministries and hokimiyats. Participants who scored the maximum points based on the results of the certification will undergo a nine-day internship in Germany.
During the training, each student, under the guidance of the Academy’s teachers and local experts, will develop a project to solve the socio-economic development of the territory. One week will be allocated for preparing the presentation and defense of the project.
Max Georg Meier, the Head of the Hanns Seidel Foundation’s Central Asia Office, has significantly contributed to implementing this educational program. The Academy staff expressed gratitude for the work done and presented memorable gifts.
Following the event, an agreement was signed between the Academy of Public Administration and the Hanns Seidel Foundation on cooperation in 2025.
