“We are happy to be partners with Uzbekistan!”
The 33rd anniversary of Independence is widely celebrated in Uzbekistan. There is a festive mood throughout the country. Every year, on the eve of this great holiday, the people prepare a table and congratulate each other. And, involuntarily, the recognition that “only a holiday suits our Uzbekistan”, we say.
Independence Day, which is the foundation of Uzbekistan’s democracy and the guarantee of the establishment of a free civil society in which the government serves the people, is welcomed not only by our compatriots but also by foreign guests, especially representatives of international organizations and heads of diplomatic missions in the country. Their congratulation on the occasion of the holiday increases the feeling of pride in our hearts.
Michael Wimmer, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Germany in Uzbekistan, warmly welcomed the Uzbekistan people on this joyful holiday:
– This day is an excellent opportunity to analyze the achieved results and consider the future. Uzbekistan, which declared its independence thirty-three years ago, has made tremendous and essential changes during the past period. The exact process that invited the Uzbekistan people to a new way of life is serving to build a modern, stable state through consistent, large-scale reforms.
Of course, independence was a significant step in your history. Consequently, Uzbekistan is a young country. It has made great strides in economic development and other developments. Your economy is growing fast, and we are ready to invest more.
