In Uzbekistan, under the leadership of the Head of state, fundamental reforms to develop entrepreneurship are being implemented, and new business support mechanisms have been introduced.

The results of the measures taken are already being felt. Also, the Presidential Resolution “On measures to introduce a sustainability rating of business entities” signed on January 23 will improve the work quality.

The essence and significance of this rating are discussed at a workshop organized in Tashkent with the participation of the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry D. Vakhobov, the Chairman of the Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Kudbiyev and the Commissioner under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Protection of the Rights and Legitimate Interests of Business Entities D. Qosimov.

Participants noted that this historically significant document will become a new business-support mechanism. The resolution provides subsidies, benefits, and preferences for entrepreneurs who create jobs, attract foreign investment, and export products. An automated information system will assess their activities, and benefits, subsidies, and preferences will be provided based on the results of the sustainability rating.

In the future, the sustainability rating will be recognized among foreign business circles, and foreign enterprises will be able to evaluate their activities based on the rating before collaborating with Uzbek entrepreneurs.

At the event, opinions were expressed regarding other important tasks identified in the resolution.
