Uzbekistan’s Fernanda Herrera won the gold medal in the single sabre fencing competition among youth at the Asian Fencing Championships in Kuwait.

In addition, Musa Aymuratov defeated Wong Tsz Wun from China in the final with a score of 15:8 and became the Asian champion. Another fencer from Uzbekistan, Islombek Abdazov, was awarded a bronze medal.

The juniors competed in the team events in three types of fencing.

In sabre fencing competitions, the Uzbekistan national team members Karina Kurbanova, Nargiza Utebayeva, Sevara Ganiyeva, and Oygul Shamuratova won a silver medal among 12 national teams.

In the sabre fencing competitions among cadets, the Uzbekistan youth national team won a silver medal among 16 national teams.
