
The first official regional office of Huawei was opened in Fergana.
This is the company’s second branch in Uzbekistan, with the first located in Tashkent.
The new office will serve as an essential platform for developing digital technologies and training qualified IT specialists.
Alexandra Nabieva, Public Relations Manager at Huawei Uzbekistan, noted that the opening of the Fergana office is a strategic move driven by the growing role of the Fergana Valley in the country’s digital development.
“We see tremendous potential in this region”, Ms. Nabiyeva said. “There is a lot of proactive, talented youth here, strong infrastructure, and developing educational institutions. Huawei aims not only to share its expertise but also to work with local partners to advance innovative projects, including solutions in artificial intelligence and smart technologies”.
The Fergana office will contribute to implementing the “Digital Fergana” initiative, improve the efficiency of organizations and enterprises, and strengthen partnerships with universities and vocational education institutions.
During the event, a presentation highlighted Huawei’s long-standing experience in Uzbekistan, achievements, and future plans. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the company and the regional administration to develop joint projects in information and communication technologies.
For over 25 years, Huawei has significantly contributed to Uzbekistan’s digital transformation and the development of an innovative ecosystem.
