The possibility of sending cargo directly from Fergana International Airport to foreign countries has been restored after a 17-year break.

Problems related to delivery of fresh fruits by trucks to Tashkent International Airport over the Kamchik pass were discussed at the meeting. The issue of organizing air cargo transportation directly from the region was studied taking into account the increase in transport costs, which also affect the growth of product prices.

According to the Ministry of Transport, on June 1, UZ-Segong and XinFergana enterprises sent 50 tons of cherries from Fergana International Airport to Seoul International Airport in South Korea.

Special equipment (Triple) used for loading cargo on the plane and special European pallets from Tashkent International Airport were delivered to Fergana International Airport from Namangan International Airport for successful implementation of this process. Prior to arrival of the plane, the airport's cargo department staff were trained in the use of special equipment and loading cargo onto the plane.
