Officials from the University of Geological Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and JSC Uzbek Overseas Geology Company are on a working visit to Mongolia.

Vice-Rector of the University of Geological Sciences, Leyla Sharafutdinova, and Director General of JSC Uzbek Overseas Geology Company, Khayitboy Omonov, met with Bayanjargal Ochirkhuyag, Rector of the National University of Mongolia, to discuss training specialists in geology, practical and scientific exchanges of experience, and the implementation of joint projects.

The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding covering issues such as the development of academic exchange programs and the establishment of student and faculty training processes in line with international standards.

It was also agreed that JSC Uzbek Overseas Geology Company would provide grants to Mongolian students wishing to study in Uzbekistan. Upon graduation, they will have the opportunity to work at the company’s representative office in Mongolia. This initiative will strengthen cooperation between Uzbekistan and Mongolia in the field of geology, elevating research activities to a new stage.
