On May 14, the Central Asian International Dental Exhibition IDECA 2025 will open at Uzexpocentre. In addition to showcasing the latest innovations in the field, the event will feature a forum with masterclasses, educational modules, and discussions on pressing topics.

A distinguished event guest, Professor Lakshman Samaranayake (Hong Kong), will deliver a presentation titled “Current Perspectives on Infection Prevention and Control in Dentistry”.

It is no secret that not only is the number of infectious diseases increasing, but their types are becoming more diverse. Consequently, approaches to infection control must be continuously reviewed and updated. Professor Samaranayake will share international standards and medical protocols for modern disinfection with exhibition participants, an area of critical importance for preventing the transmission of infections.

As noted by Fazliddin Sadikov, head of the company BIOSTOM and project director of IDECA, discussions on key issues vital to the development of Uzbekistan’s dental sector will not be limited to the exhibition itself. Given the intense interest among specialists, there are plans to continue these discussions with the involvement of healthcare officials from Uzbekistan and other relevant stakeholders.

The exhibition and forum include an extensive educational program, so the organizers have extended invitations to all specialized universities in the country. Both students and practicing professionals will be able to learn about the most up-to-date dental techniques from leading experts.

Among the speakers is another distinguished guest, Dr. Simona Schick from Heidelberg University, Germany, and experts from Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Georgia, and other countries.

The exhibition is being held for the second consecutive year, with all masterclasses for dental professionals offered free of charge by the organizers. Presentations, discussions, and the educational program, including live demonstrations, will take place in various exhibition halls throughout all three days. Visitors are especially encouraged to pay close attention to the booths of participating companies, where modern dental and diagnostic equipment and the latest developments in consumables and instruments will be showcased. These include products from manufacturers based in Germany, Russia, China, the United States, Switzerland, South Korea, and several other countries.
