An online conversation took place to discuss the results of public monitoring of the implementation of an action plan to support the activities of the UN Multi-Partner Human Security Trust Fund for the Aral Sea region.

Representatives of Logos non-governmental non-profit organization, the Ecological Party, the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan and other responsible public organizations attended the event.

Participants focused on activities planned to be carried out with the support of Yuksalish National Movement, Civil Society Development Association and USAID within the framework of the grant project “Public monitoring of implementation of the Action Plan for the Aral Sea region”.

It was noted that the solution of environmental problems that have arisen in the region, including those related to formation of a new Aralkum desert, continued degradation of ecosystems, requires joint efforts, new approach and innovative technologies. An agreement was reached on development of a draft document and timely implementation of necessary tasks.
