A training workshop on “Disaster risk mitigation and seismology” was held at the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the participation of specialists from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The participants became familiar with the information resource center and the educational process of the Academy, studied in detail advanced methods and technologies used in the education system, and scientific-practical activities carried out at the Academy.

Information was provided on earthquake early warning, safe behavior during an earthquake, and making quick and correct decisions after it.

The participants expressed their willingness to strengthen cooperation in disaster risk reduction, seismic safety, exchange of experience, and implementation of joint projects in the future.
