On May 26-27, the second ministerial roundtable on the Kambarata HPP-1 project was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the Ministry of Energy reports.

The meeting, organized with the support of the World Bank, was attended by the energy ministers of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as delegations from the ministries of water resources, economy, and finance, and energy companies of the three countries.

Specific tasks for implementing the Kambarata HPP-1 project, deadlines, and subsequent steps were defined.

It was emphasized that this project is an essential initiative to strengthen energy security, practical and rational use of water resources in Central Asia, and develop interregional cooperation.
