A meeting was held at the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation with representatives of the French international company Bureau Veritas.
During the meeting, detailed information was presented on systemic changes in the sector, in particular on the broad implementation of international standards and the enhancement of the competitiveness of national products. It was noted that the development of quality infrastructure based on international requirements is an important factor in increasing export volumes and ensuring the free access of goods to foreign markets.
The parties discussed issues related to the exchange of experience in laboratory testing, the introduction of modern and innovative testing methods, and the organization of joint training programs to improve specialists’ qualifications. Opportunities for cooperation in the broad application of international standards and management systems, the digitalization of conformity-assessment processes, and the promotion of transparency were considered.
Representatives of Bureau Veritas put forward proposals and recommendations to harmonize the sector in accordance with international requirements, create an environment for the effective use of global standards, and introduce modern assessment mechanisms.
