The Association is established on the basis of JSC “Uzeltechsanoat”. Enterprises and organizations of the electrotechnical industry may become its members on a voluntary basis.

Property and other funds belonging to the state, together with receivables and payables will be transferred to the Association. Real estate and shares in the authorized capitals of business companies owned by JSC “Uzeltechsanoat” will be transferred to the State Competition Committee.

According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the main objectives of the Association are development of the strategy of sustainable industry development as a single complex for processing raw materials, production and export of finished products with high added value, including through expanding and supporting industrial cooperation, conducting a study of the demand for electrotechnical products in the domestic and external markets and on this basis, the implementation of comprehensive measures for promoting the development of new types of products, assistance in attracting investment, primarily foreign, for development of high-tech industries for production of electrical products, modernization, technical and technological re-equipment of the industry, organizing joint production with leading foreign companies and others.
