As noted at the meeting with the Mongolian delegation organized in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, in recent years, thanks to the political will and joint efforts of the heads of state of Uzbekistan and Mongolia, multifaceted cooperation between the two countries has reached a new level.

Improvement and further strengthening of mutual cooperation were discussed with the Chairman of the Mongolia – Uzbekistan Interparliamentary Friendship Group Sukhbaatar Erdenebat.

Sukhbaatar Erdenebat noted that the elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local representative bodies were organized at a high level. He emphasized that all stages of the electoral process were transparent, open, and objective, met international democratic standards, and were held in a completely new socio-political environment based on the renewed Constitution.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on enhancing ties between the parliaments of the two countries, intensifying cooperation within the framework of the inter-parliamentary friendship group “Mongolia – Uzbekistan”, as well as developing a specific action plan for a wide range of areas of cooperation.
