On February 7, 2023, early presidential elections are scheduled in Azerbaijan. Currently, Azerbaijanis living abroad, including in Uzbekistan, are also voting for a worthy candidate for the country’s future.

The special polling station established in the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan started working early in the morning to organize this important political event. From 8:00 a.m. Tashkent time, citizens of Azerbaijan who came to Uzbekistan to work, study, or do business, who are temporarily staying in the country for traveling and other purposes, are coming to the Embassy and voting in support of their chosen candidate.

According to the official of the Embassy, more than 300 voters with the right to participate in this election have been registered. So far, more than 200 of them have expressed their choice.

It should be noted that seven candidates are running for the presidency of Azerbaijan, including the current Head of state, Ilham Aliyev.
