Wyndham Hotel Tashkent hosts a workshop on effective treatment of pediatric oncology.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is the main foreign partner of the event.

The event is aimed at discussing current world trends in treatment of pediatric oncology, studying and introduction of new methods of treatment in Uzbekistan, establishing direct contacts with leading foreign institutions, as well as improving domestic specialists’ skills.

The workshop is organized within the framework of implementation of agreements reached in 2018 in Memphis, where the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is located.

The parties discussed such possibilities of cooperation between St. Jude Global and Uzbekistan, as development of a national plan on combating child cancer, treatment principles, education and research projects on increasing access to quality care.

The workshop is attended by about 100 leading experts of the sphere and representatives of health authorities of countries such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Moldova, Russia, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, USA and Uzbekistan.

The event brings together health leaders and experts in pediatric cancer and hematology to support cancer health services and increase the survival rate of patients with cancer and hematology in Uzbekistan and Eurasia.

The meeting will include educational sessions, panel discussions on medical care for children with hematological and oncological diseases; lectures on treatment and diagnosis of child cancer, palliative care, organization of accounting of oncological diseases, problems and promising strategies for effective control of childhood cancer and hematological diseases.
