The discussion focused on expert support for the Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia, which play an increasingly important role in shaping coordinated approaches to the region’s development.

The parties emphasized that regular contacts between the leaders of Central Asian countries are laying a solid foundation for advancing joint initiatives in security, economic cooperation, and sustainable development.

Henrik S. Werenskiold noted that in recent years, Central Asia has shown steady progress in strengthening interstate dialogue and developing multilateral formats, such as “Central Asia+”.

The role of major infrastructure projects was emphasized, especially the Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan – China transport corridor, which opens new opportunities for regional integration and economic growth.

During the discussion, the parties drew parallels with the cooperation practices of the Nordic countries within the framework of the Nordic Council, highlighting the importance of strengthening regional platforms and exchanging expert knowledge. Special attention was given to further developing analytical and specialist support for regional processes in Central Asia and strengthening professional ties between expert communities in the region and those in Northern Europe.
